Luke 19. Wee Little Man

Posted: November 20, 2011 in Luke

I appreciate the picture of repentance shown to us in this chapter. While the text doesn’t record for us the entirety of Zacchaeus and Jesus’ conversation, we know that something happened which led to a total and complete shift in Zacchaeus’ way of thinking. Sorta like Paul on the road to Damascus. Though he began his journey in opposition to this Jesus of Nazareth, by the time it.was over he was in complete surrender to the same Jesus.

The biblical pattern seems to be like this: any encounter with Jesus leaves you one of two ways: in submission to his Lordship and authority and seeking to please him, or in utter rebellion against Him.

Have you encountered Him yet? If so, what was your response?
